You found me!
I'm Dayci! An artist tucked into southeast rural Nebraska, making work by hand and staying close to paint, texture, and the human mark. While the world moves further into digital art, my work stays rooted in real places, on walls, in public view, and in the environments people actually live in.
Here's The Story...
I was raised on the wide-open Nebraska plains, and that landscape shaped how I see and move through the world. There’s an honesty in long horizons, wind across fields, and quiet towns that teaches you to pay attention and not overcomplicate life. That sense of place has stayed with me and continues to show up in everything I make.
Creativity has always been part of me. I was raised in a hardware store, learning early what hard work looks like...showing up, doing things right, and figuring it out as you go. At the same time, I was raised by an artist who made sure I didn’t lose that creative pull but instead learned how to trust it.
I studied business so I could support the work I wanted to make, not just dream about it. A month before graduating college, I launched Dace Murals, and I’ve been building it ever since. I specialize in hand-painted murals and residential painting. My goal is for when people stand in front of one of my works, it should feel like something shifts. Like you can almost feel the wind, the light, or whatever story is being told.
My work is rooted in Nebraska, where most of my murals live and where I continue to build from. From there, it has stretched across the state and into places like Iowa and Michigan, with more to come wherever the work is needed. At the core of it all, it’s still real paint on real walls, telling real stories meant to be experienced in everyday life, not behind a screen.
I’m glad you’re here and interested in joining me in creating a world where walls become bridges rather than barriers. Bridges that carry businesses to their clients, strangers to hope, and spaces into something a little bit more alive than they were before.
